Irish passport applications have risen sharply since the Brexit vote, with just over 6,000 applications for new passports from Great Britain and 20,325 from Northern Ireland in 2015 rising up to 36,274 from Great Britain and 49,243 from Northern Ireland up to Septemberof 2019.
